The Cottage is the first whole house project that I’ve ever undertaken and I’ve loved having the opportunity to merge the work of two of my passions- historic restoration and design. Located just a couple of houses down from my own, it is a beautiful home built in 1923. When it came onto the market a couple of years ago, it was in need of renovation, but I appreciated its good bones. I loved its pocket doors, wide baseboards, solid brass hardware, wall sconces, plaster walls, built-in cabinets and original windows with wavy glass! Though it was time consuming, tedious, detail oriented work I am so happy with the results that it truly all feels worthwhile. I can’t wait to take you through each room and show everyone all the special details that went into the spaces. I’ll be sharing sources, paint colors and other tips along the way.
